Kristjan Tabri

Professor at TalTech, partner at MindChip

Naval architect and a professor of maritime technology with over 20 years of experience. Interested in marine technology, non-linear calculations, autonomous shipping and offshore wind.
He has a doctoral degree from Aalto University on: 'Dynamics of Ship Collisions' (2010).

Kristjan has participated in a number of Europe-wide R&D projects with the topics ranging from the development of adaptive materials to ship route optimization from the viewpoint of minimal fuel costs.

Over the years, Kristjan has worked in two universities, in the R&D department of a Dutch military shipyard and has developed a maritime engineering office for over 20 years. In recent years he has been involved in the development of autonomous surface vessels and artificial captain solutions both at the academia and in TalTech’s spin-off company MindChip.
