Kyle oversees a portfolio of large- and small-scale projects advancing research to commercial deployed solutions designed to lead sustainable manufacturing across Europe. With a large network of active start-ups, SMEs, RTOs/Universities and large industrial organizations, there are numerous exciting innovation activities including and using Deep Tech (AI,ML,learning systems), Digital Twins, advanced and sustainable materials, circularity, supply chain traceability and resilience, and upskilling of the workforce.

Industrial and academic experience in a wide range of fields allows Kyle to contribute to the creation of start-ups and spin-offs, fostering open collaboration across industries and finding the synergies for prosperous innovation. Areas of experience include particle physics, hydrogen fuel cells, manufacturing automation, embedded software development, electronic and electrical systems, signal processing, machine learning, natural language processing/generative language AI, automotive and mobile eco-systems, as well as the management of sustainable innovation road maps.

20+ years in the automotive industry, during immense transition towards sophistication, sustainable RnD / Manufacturing, and socially progressive business models. During his last post at Volvo Cars (and VCC’s family of OEMs), Kyle witnessed the power of bold industrial leaders like Volvo are moving the entire industry to become more sustainable, and creating products of the future tailored to sustainable society.
