Riina Sikkut is the Minister of Economic Affairs and Infrastructure. She is a member of the Social Democratic Party where she serves as party's deputy chairman.
Previously she was the Minister of Health and Labour and between two minister positions she was a member of the Parliament in 14th Riigikogu.

Sikkut's previous career was also connected to both health and finance as she has been an health policy analyst at the Praxis Political Research Centre and specialist of the Credit Risk Control Department at Swedbank.

Sikkut graduated from the University of Tartu in 2005 with a degree in economy; in 2010, she graduated with a master’s degree in health policy from the University of London.
